Who uses matcha?
I do! Well, I do now, anyway. To be honest, I was scared of trying matcha. I didn’t know enough about it to do more than mix it into smoothies. I’m not a big on smoothies; but then I learned that Baahtcha offers a culinary grade matcha that is primarily used for baking and cooking. The enhanced flavor profile is the perfect partner for other ingredients in your favorite lattes, blended drinks, and baked goods. It can still be used to create a standard cup of tea; however, it’s more robust and less sweet than the ceremonial grade.
Baahtcha’s Ceremonial Grade Matcha is a higher quality tea that used in traditional tea ceremonies. It easily dissolves into water and other liquids making it perfect for traditional tea, lattes, iced teas, and blended drinks. It can also be used in recipes.
Baahtcha Morning Pick-Me-Ups!
From a young age, I began the habit of being an early riser. Regardless of what time my head hits the pillow, my internal clock wakes me up between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m. each day. Nighttime is the only chance I have to blog and write, so there are nights that I don’t get more than four or five hours of sleep. Six to seven hours is ideal but if I miss out on a few, I have resorted to coffee and energy drinks.
While checking into what I could use matcha for, I stumbled upon a recipe for morning energy balls. I tweaked the recipe a bit and created my own with items that I regularly purchase. One “Scoopbaah” is included and easily measures 1 teaspoon.
These are quick and easy to make as well as grab when you don’t have time to sit down for breakfast. I have also used them in the afternoons for when I hit that after-lunch slump. They’re sweet — but not too sweet – and help me feel full to avoid grabbing junk food.
