Keto Cheesesteak Stuffed Jalapenos – Appetizer, Snack, or Great for Meal Prep

I have seen a lot of jalapeno recipes that call for stuffing them cheese, but then it hit me. Why not stuff them full of meet and cheese? My guys always love when we make up a batch of cheesesteak sandwiches on hoagie buns. I saved a bit of the meat to give these a go and they were an instant HIT!

Several of my readers have reached out about some quick and easy Keto-friendly recipes that the entire family would love. These are great even if you don’t follow the Keto diet. You can easily make several batches of this recipe to serve as appetizers at your next get-together, to enjoy as snacks, or use them to meal prep lunches for the week.

Each serving is 2 net carbs. These can also be made using green bell peppers, but I would roast the bell peppers a bit before stuffing them if prefer a softer pepper. Jalapenos were the perfect little holders for the cheesecake to give it a touch of heat without being overly hot for my group. I’m the only one who enjoys a significant amount of heat to my food.

Ingredients to Make Keto Cheesesteak Stuffed Jalapenos:

  • Jalapeno peppers
  • Cheesesteak meat
  • Cream cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion
  • Bell pepper
  • Salt and pepper
  • Chopped parsley

How to Make Keto Cheesesteak Stuffed Jalapenos:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

In a skillet over medium high heat on the stove, saute the meat until cooked through.

Add the worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine. Remove the meat and set aside.

Reduce the heat in the skillet to medium, and saute the onions and peppers in the drippings from the meat until softened. Remove and let cool.

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, meat and vegetables until well incorporated.

Stuff the jalapenos with the filling mixture and top with the shredded mozzarella.

Place the stuffed jalapenos on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes until done to your liking.

Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Ingredients

  • 8 Jalapeno peppers cut in half lengthwise and deseeded
  • 9 oz. Cheesesteak meat
  • 3 oz. Cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup Mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic powder
  • ½ Onion chopped
  • ½ Bell pepper chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish
